All our products are made locally in Nkhata Bay, Northern Malawi, by Malawian women. By purchasing our products, you invest in their future, enable us to provide menstrual and reproductive health training and you support the local economy.
We produce reusable sanitary pads, urine loss pads, after labour pads and diapers. We are also selling a comprehensive start-up manual on how to create your own social business in reusable sanitary pads.
We sell our affordable, high-quality products in local shops in Northern Malawi, giving women and girls access to necessary sanitary products. We are well stocked and our production team is very capable to handle big orders for NGOs, schools, orphanages or hospitals.
Supreme was founded in 2015 by Hanne van Beek and Floris van der Stoep. Together with 10 local women from the area they used participatory methods to design and test the first batch of reusable sanitary pads.
They remodeled an old building into a sanitary pads workshop, hired and trained 3 local women and started their social business.
Late 2016 Evelien Post took over with the aim to scale up and increase the impact.
Today Supreme is a sustainable social business and has provided thousands of girls and women access to reusable sanitary pads, empowering them to go to school and work with dignity.
Our educational efforts on menstrual health and use of reusable sanitary products are growing strong and we are working hard on scaling up to be able to provide the most rural places in Northern Malawi with access to our products.
